Hoping is a great strategy
Lot of hoping there.

Hope a guy fresh off a mission who's never played college bball can come In and contribute and Be a difference maker.

Hope a guy with a dubious history of foot injuries can return to 100%.

FWIW i do hope these things work out and i do hope Jax returns. It's just a really risky strategy banking so much on hope. If I'm a HC with a multi- million dollar job riding on it I'm not trusting to hope.

We get decent rim protection from our bigs now. Where we've repeatedly gotten crushed is not being able to stop the torrent of opposing PGs from going off for career nights vs our perimeter defenders. A lot of PGs went off for 30 pts or had crazy hot shooting pcts against us.

Teams that were able to lock us up defensively did it through tough physical defense on the perimeter, not big rim protectors. We need to adapt accordingly.
