On the Peralta thread, the people making the jokes were believers, their intent was to joke that Jimmer was deity.

This guy is obviously not a believer and is making the joke on Easter to poke fun at and get a rise out of people who believe in Christ.

I'm not up in arms about either, but it's easy to spot the difference in intent between the two. I do agree with you that people shouldn't get offended by either.
