It was an interesting thing. During the first 28 games of the season (through
the home W against San Diego St. he had averaged 11 MPG and a mere 2.9 points per game.

The last 3 games of the regular season he averaged 25 MPG and 14 PPG. In the conference tourney he was still at 24 MPG but only averaged 8 PPG in our 2 conference tourney games. Then he exploded for 26 points in our 1st round NCAA tournament game (followed by a 2-point outing vs. Kansas St. in the next round).

Not sure what caused the sudden uptick in minutes. Looks like Jimmer played reduced minutes in a couple of those games, then Tyler Haws had a couple games with few minutes (and even missed a game). Not sure if it was injury or simply riding the hot hand and he stayed in the game because he was doing well. The NCAA tourney game was double overtime IIRC, so there were plenty of minutes to go around in that one.
