…is the whole “avoiding a letdown game” the big story? We nearly doubled the point spread.

Did we just win by one shot? Did the game come down to the last possession? We could’ve won by 30 and I guess technically you could still say, “BYU avoids letdown” but is that reporting what actually happened? Instead of running an agenda, why not do the intellectually honest thing and just report what happened? That 2nd half was maybe BYU’s best half of basketball all season and one of the most dominant ones in the Big12 this season in any game and it puts us in a 3 way tie for 4th place in the Big12.

So many positive ways to depict what was significant in this game but the writer has to pick one that detracts from it and paints it in a negative light.
