The lasting benefit of the B12 when we reach March is going to be that our players will have played over half of the season with a more physical style of BB against tournament quality opponents. The refs officiate in conference like they do in the NCAA tournament and that's a good thing for our team in the long run.
It's also beneficial for our players to be able to show their talent against future NBA draft picks and putting up numbers in the B12 will mean a lot more to NBA scouts than it would in other lesser conferences. I'm hopeful BYU continues to get a recruiting bump from the B12 and this season in particular, not that the cupboard will be bare next year as we should have a ton of returning talent.
