on Cougarboard is this: BYU fans WANT to like Baylor. We want to have a relationship with your school that is pleasant and friendly no matter who wins the sports matches between us. We've seen our share of animosity from others just because of our religion, and I've read that you folks have dealt with that as well. What I think a lot of BYU fans want with Baylor is a friendship based on the idea that we believe a lot of the same important things and we're in the same conference. Consequently, we cheer for each other any time it's not a direct head-to-head contest.

Who knows? It may not work out that way, but at this point I can definitely say a lot of people on the BYU side are hoping it does.
