And I'm not saying Kalani can't have good seasons. His saving grace is that he's hands off so if he can manage to find the right coordinators maybe we can be pretty good.
But there are problems. Kalani has not demonstrated a great track record of hiring (Jay Hill notwithstanding). His recruiting before Hill was at best lackluster. And Kalani has not appeared, at least to me, to have created a very strong culture of accountability, based on the few snippets we get from players and coaches on the subject.
Overall, I just don't know if I see it. If this next season goes the way of the last and our offense is bottom ten in the nation again, I think ARod gets canned. I just don't have a lot of confidence that Kalani pulls a rabbit out of his hat and finds another Jay Hill on offense. But hopefully it doesn't come to that.
