I imagine the crux of his motivation is that we have different rules
for different people.
For me, I truly don't when it comes to strangers.
For example, I don't like athletes flopping and choosing to appear weak. I'm a Rudy Gobert fan. Rudy Gobert flops and embraces looking weak. It's obnoxious.
