That actually hurts spacing. The only way the bigs camp out in the paint
Is if the bigs on our team are incapable of shooting. We want their bigs to have to guard the perimeter/corners.

This way the paint is wide open and it will create either uncontested layups or wide open 3’s if the defenders have to leave their man to help out.

Penetration/paint touches is the key to getting open 3’s. Penetration doesn’t work very well when the team defending you has a big camping out in the paint - which would only happen if BYU bigs are incapable of spreading the floor.
