..the basketball. Not having Davies definitely was a real blow to Jimmer's team. Our team now is very different and if you go back and watch the 2nd half of the NC St game we ran the last 30 mins or so of the game playing 5 out on offense. Not having a big man in the middle opened up the paint for easier penetration and backdoor cuts. We spread the floor out more and literally wore down the NC St guards forcing them to chase the ball sideline to sideline and catching them in moments of indecision and poor communication trying to switch and defend all of our ball screens and DHO's out top. Look how open our 3pt shooters were the last 5 mins of the game compared to the first 5 mins of the game. the NC St guards were tired and our guys were getting wide open looks at 3 and knocking them down. First half we shot 5 of 19 from 3 and the 2nd half we shot 9 of 15. Huge improvement and the offensive alignment of having no big in the middle was a huge difference maker.
