Marie Sharp’s Habanero Pepper Sauce
It has incredible flavor and uses only natural ingredients:

Fresh red Belizean habanero pepper, hand chopped carrots, natural vinegar, hand chopped white onions, hand harvested snowy white sea salt, freshly squeezed key lime juice, and fresh garlic

I used to recommend a hot sauce called Sontava to everyone. For about 25 years, I put Sontava on everything. Then, Sontava was sold. Shortly thereafter, the new owners changed the recipe. I contacted them and asked why they would change it. The old recipe was perfect. Basically the same ingredients I found above on the Marie Sharp website.

The new Sontava recipe is still spicy but now it tastes bad and all the ingredients are different. It would be like if you used to buy pure natural honey and then some day they tried to sell you high fructose corn syrup but still call it honey.

They wouldn’t tell me why they changed the recipe. I asked them to sell me a license to use the old (superior) recipe for non-commercial home use. They refused. I sent a letter to the original owner of Sontava and asked what was going on with his hot sauce but he never responded. Eventually I got suspicious that the old recipe caused cancer or was endangering the indigenous monkey population of Costa Rica or something. I googled “Sontava lawsuit” and found a discussion on the Texas Longhorns message board about how Sontava basically ripped off Marie Sharp’s habanero pepper sauce recipe and they were the same thing.

I immediately bought like four gallons of her hot sauce, without even tasting it, and I was not disappointed. It is the best hot sauce on earth. If you check out her website they have each sauce rated for hot level.
