I was on my mission then. Only heard about it after.

I don't know what the implications were for the University versus the University community, because this Duke accusation didn't just reflect bad on the University, it painted the entire community of students, fans, and alumni as tainted by a deeply deeply racist vestige of a bygone era where white people casually yelled out racist slurs at black athletes and no one cared.
