* A good offense would not have a first time QB throwing it 42 times. They would use the run game and find easy throws for him to make to build his confidence.
* His arm motion is great for short and intermediate throws. The ball comes out fast with good zip on it to allow for YAC. On longer throws it really seems to float on him. I couldn't tell if it was because he was under pressure or whether the half side-arm throw doesn't lend itself to deep throws, but that would be one of my biggest concerns.
*There were some pretty critical drops of catchable balls.
*The much maligned "whiffs" by the OL were real, and certainly impacted a handful of passes. Other times he held onto the ball too long. Our receivers weren't getting good separation (haven't all year) in their routes.
*He played with a lot of confidence for a first time starter. I think it bodes well for him.
I would say:
A) 10%
B) 30%
C) 30%
D) 10%
E) 20%
In other words, I would not be concerned with his completion percent given the multitude of other issues we have on offense.
