in fact when I got home from my mission, my friends and I tried another attempt to get back up to the peak... we couldn't make it because there was too much snow on the road. But we did get pretty high... probably about 12 miles up.
I will say this, I wouldn't attempt that drive again in the middle of the freaking night. But nope... I have no issues with the mountains, went up in the mountains several times after my mission, after I got married my wife and I would go camping all the time up Logan canyon to Tony Grove. As I mentioned, I believe that experience was for me as a learning experience. I had several promptings on my mission that I didn't hesitate to follow after that experience.
Had another experience/prompting in my marriage. My wife was ready to have kids, I wasn't. Went to church, while sitting there... almost the same voice/experience happened to me basically rebuking me for being selfish for not wanting to have children, said I was denying a child from enjoying the same experiences I was having... told my wife right after church that she was right and we should try and have children. She was pregnant like 2 weeks later.
