ARod s play designs for run come from a Grimes scheme that Funk doesnt know well
He shouldnt have ever been hired. It should have been a zone read run blocking guy. Its been a slow regression because guys like yr1) christensen, freeland, Barrington were hold overs who knew the system yr2) bad but still had Freeland and Barrington but werent getting better. Yr 3) we have no Grimes/mateos hold overs and its obvious the line coach doesnt coach to what Arod runs very well
Pass blocking is pretty similar in most schemes which is why it hasnt been as bad as the run game
