Fair critiques. You aren’t wrong. Some of Greg’s obscure stats are actually kind of interesting, but I see where you’re coming from.
I also saw a bit of the tendency you identified with Hans. I’ll cut him some slack, as that’s a pretty human pattern for a guy who, to at least some degree, is trying to impress his new bosses, colleagues and audience. But sure, it’d be better to let his predictions hold up on their own and revisit them at the end of a game. He can rein in last night’s tendency to say “Look, I called that” a bit. You’d expect him to have an item or two to improve upon, particularly at this early stage—perhaps that is one.
And yes, I absolutely believe that Hans reads Cougarboard. Not a bad idea for a color guy, really.
I didn’t notice any slippage in Greg’s play by play, but I was listening after having already watched. Perhaps an off game or two? Also understandable when working with a new and very engaged color commentator?
