San Diego State sent a letter on June 13 to the MWC saying the following.

1. We intend to leave.
2. We'd like a one month extension on the June 30 deadline. (Cost changes from 17.5M to 34 M)
3. We'd like to negotiate how much we owe you, and pay it out over 4 years instead of up front.

SDSU did this without a rock solid invite to the PAC, though in all likelihood they have reason to suspect one is coming.

MWC responded and said "Cool, we'll take this as your official notice, and withhold your distribution this year, as laid out in the bylaws"

SDSU sent a letter back saying that they didn't officially resign, and please don't withhold our distribution check.
