Class always has been and probably always will be the true fault line. Me (gen x), my boomer parents, and my Gen z kids aren't ideologically all that different (except a few social issues), nor are the families of friends or neighbors. Go to different cities or neighborhoods though and you'll find various generations who together blame us/sympathize with our socio-economic class.
