...which (from what I've gathered) seems to be pretty par for the course for him. I don't live in Utah anymore, but his reputation seems pretty poor

I saw that Monty reported Utah straight up directly told Yormark and the Big 12 that Utah would never have any interest ever - due to the poor quality of Big 12 academics....

That seems extremely unlikely to me though, for multiple reasons
