After being a football dad for about 20 years, I'm now a cheer dad.
All star cheer is very intense. There's a lot of money involved. The offseason is very short. Practice time is much longer than it is for football.
To my surprise, so far, parents aren't bad at all. My 8 year-old daughter is on two teams and I've not caught a whiff of issues from any of the parents involved. Maybe that's still to come.
