How many active LDS 3* + kids are there across the country every year? Just guessing but what, Maybe 30-40? How many of those are 4-5*? Maybe 1-5 any given year? With tech and video these days, I don’t see how BYU wouldn’t be able to at least inquire with every one of these…obviously they won’t all qualify, be wanted, or want to go to BYU but seems like totally low hanging fruit that is just being left on the tree when they are Active members often (not always) seeking an LDS college experience.

Wouldn’t be that hard to compile an ongoing list either… I could give you names of 3-5 kids that already are or will probably be at least three stars in Oregon that are in the next 3 classes and are Active LDS. Probably another one or two out there that I don’t know but could find out pretty easy as pool isn’t that big. Probably a guy like me I every state. 3-5kids x 49 states =~ 150 -250 active LDS kids 3* or greater over three years isn’t that much and many will go P5 somewhere…. Or we can keep looking for no star projects from Utah because they are close to home to fill our depth. This is the type of upgrades we can and have to make going into Big 12.

How about cougsrboard help? Can we start a board/thread/list or something listing all the top Active LDS prep players for 23’, 24, ‘25 across the country? We have to play to our strengths and competitive advantage. We can use our reach to help recruiting. What think oh wise cougarboard?
