I'll admit, Utah usually has a pretty salty defense; but after googling...
"Utah Effect", I found one article from the biggest Pac12 homer out there, Jon Wilner. He creates a romantic, but fictional phenomenon involving Utah football in order to get clicks. C'mon man, it's football. What team isn't trying tear their opponents head off?

Before googling, I was expecting the "Utah Effect" to mean something entirely different. I thought it might be a phrase that epitomized when a player did something stupid. You know, like when Kaelin Clay dropped the ball before getting into the end zone...
