The conference championships kind of are, but aren't playoff games. they should
be. If you can't win your conference, why should you be playing in the national championship game?
This will never happen of course. The whole idea behind these mega conferences is to provide a ton of compelling games during the season.
If it was jut 12 conf champs, you would see 12 conferences with 9-10 teams but only 2 blue bloods in each one. and then where is the compelling games?
