There are gaps between non-P5 and P5 teams across all position groups, but the largest gap of all is defensive backfield positions. Speed among P5 teams is very notable and has benefitted Utah over the years in the PAC 12. Now that speed gap is going to be drastically reduced with BYU now entering the party. You are already seeing it, and this is just the beginning.
