Bobick's troubles at BYU came before his troubles w Cleve (which were real)
Bobick was certainly full of himself (as are a lot of college athletes), but I think a lot of his indignation came as a result of his ill treatment by a very large & nasty contingent of local fans. Who were very vocal about their politics which involved a Bobick/Hansen polemic.
Honestly, I think they were largely the same group of disgruntles that voiced themselves in support of coach Reid just a couple years before.
It was pretty ugly stuff. Many of them were older fans. It was very strange to see middle aged & elderly men incensed at a single 22 year old man. Strange & disturbing.
