I used to feel the same way but the ability to go on a mission at 18 has changed
my opinion

When recruits left at 19, they basically lost a year of eligibility because that first season was either a throw away or they had to burn their red shirt. It was definitely not an advantage and it was maybe a disadvantage

Now kids go right out of high school and they come back with five years to play four and they are two years more mature than the class they are now playing against. I think it’s a real advantage now
