It will all depend on the type of chemistry that Pope and his crew can create in the short time before tipoff.
I think this team has some very interesting pieces. This is the most athletic BYU back court in my memory, and we have rarely had the size and athleticism in the front court that we do now.
We don’t have any glaring weaknesses. We have size and length 1 through 5, we have athletes, we have shooters, and we have guys who like to play defense. I think this roster has the potential to develop into a round of 32, possibly even a sweet 16 type team when all is said and done.
I think this could be the highest seeded BYU team since Jimmer’s senior year. I wouldn’t be shocked by a 4, maybe even a 3 seed.
