Yeah but they are no longer riding the coat tails of the big boys, that means
they will get less money. That also means they are back in the same “status” as BYU, Boise St., SDSU, UNLV. They would be viewed as less than the ultimate conference. It is the opposite today being a P5 member. And that hurts their reputation and recruiting advantage.
