When we moved to Texas and had three daughters, ages 13, 12, and 10, as well as
our other kids, my older sister who had older kids said the following: "Okay, keep your hands in at all times, pull down the crash bar, hold on tight, and fasten your seatbelt because this is going to be a roller coaster. Just so you know, when kids turn 14 it is scientifically proven, they lose all of their brain cells almost overnight." We soon realized the validity of that statement. Thankfully, their brain cells ultimately grow back but it often doesn't begin to occur until they graduate from high school and then get married.
