Two things: 2, 4-D and apply it in the morning when the flowers are open on
The plant. The timing of the application is critical.
Then DON’T pull the plant for a week to 10 days.
Repeat repeat repeat. I battled it for two summers and finally have a morning glory free yard.

We use Stewart’s lawn service. That eliminated tons of weeds. As for morning

It's also not really morning glory, but bindweed. People mistakenly call it MG.

Yup. The roots go down as shallow as 1-2 feet and as deep as 20.
