As someone who travels to football away games a couple times a year, the idea of having Memphis, East Carolina, Tulsa, Houston, Tulane and most of the rest of the AAC dominate the road schedule for the foreseeable future bums me out profoundly.

The thought of having those teams fill up our home schedules going forward would probably inspire me to cancel my season tickets. I have zero interest in becoming attached at the hip with that lot. I’d rather re-join the MWC. At least there is history and regional rivalries there. There is absolutely nothing compelling about the AAC beyond some fantasy about making the playoffs and playing for a mythical national championship.
