Right. Need an emotionless, unbiased computer system to rank the teams.
The criteria/formula for the computer rankings should be public knowledge to all so everyone knows how it will work and it doesn't feel like a black box approach.

6 highest ranked conference champs is an invite for BYU to join the AAC. Because 6 best at large will be tough to make.

I mean, that way the AAC becomes the de facto P6 conference for real.

It can never be P6. Not autonomous and not even close in money
Nat Gas Man
6/10/21 11:48am
If they move to this model, the P5 label won't matter moving forward.
Westsider
6/10/21 11:50am
The P5 label is something manufactured by the media.

Pretty sure the P5 label was self-applied by the P5 conferences

It was an actual thing for auto-bids to NY6 games, just as AQ conferences were

Well how does a conference “become autonomous?” Have to lobby the NCAA right?

Doubtful, it wasn’t the NCAA, they don’t decide anything with FBS

That’s how I remembered it. The NCAA “granted them” autonomy. So couldn’t
