I have a VRD that we have cameras on the outside and inside a locked owners closet (because someone broke into it

previously and stole some of our things we keep at the property for our family). I would never put cameras out in the rooms or other inside rooms that weren't private to just our things. That is creepy and voyeristic. I would totally unplug them and send a message saying why.
