You're right that there might be companies who will allow employees to WFH across the US, but that still remains to be seen if it's a long term thing. Google is requiring that employees still have an office presence, for example.
There is much that remains to be seen regarding working from anywhere. I wouldn't want to lock myself into a 30 year loan in a state far away from my employer based on a global pandemic and the knee jerk reaction associated with it.
You know why millennials get frustrated with statements like this? You state that home ownership can be attained by sacrifice... almost like millennials aren't already aware of the sacrifice required to achieve some form of the American dream.
