with the Lakers and his famous "dance."
My cousins would spend a lot of their summers at their cabin in Island Park. We went to visit that summer and I guess every Saturday night they would put on a dance for the youth/young singles. We show up to hang out for a bit and in walks Mad Dog. My brothers and I instantly recognized him, as we grew up in LA and are big Laker fans. We hung out with him for a bit and chewed the fat. He was super friendly and outgoing. Had a good time, and he still sucked at dancing.
I was surprised that many people didn't even know who he was, even after finding out he played on the Lakers. My cousins had no idea (non sports fans from AZ and ID).
