I’ve been as strong a mask proponent as you will find on this board...
but I would never submit to an annual/seasonal mask mandate. I would never advocate for limiting attendance at winter sporting events like basketball or volleyball during a typical cold/flu season going forward, either.
I hope Covid-19 has taught us better hygiene. I hope we’ve all learned to stay home when we’re sick, and I hope we have learned to wear masks in public while we’re feeling under the weather, but I would never advocate for making any of these temporary Covid-19 measures and mandates permanent.

As I have suggested before, we would be wise to continue these masking and distancing practices every flu/virus season.
