sounds like a fuse, or multiple fuses are malfuntioning
I had a problem with all my warning lights in the instrument cluster lighting up and sounding off constantly. I just found the fuse for the instrument panel and switched it with another fuse, and it fixed about 99% of the problem.

Check your accessory belt first. I'm assuming the power steering was still off "but driveable?" If so, losing the
