GOT is just an example. Tiger King was a phenomenon, and not for kids. The
existence and popularity of entertainment that appeals both to children and adults is not evidence if the infantilization of our society.
I'm sure film buffs think this way because the golden age of the non-blockbuster is in the rearview mirror, but this is not a correct diagnosis.
