It is also worth remembering the USS Oklahoma, which was the third ship
that capsized and was submerged. The difference was, the Oklahoma partially blocked one of the shipping lanes at Pearl, so in 1943 they raised it, put it in drydock, and then dismantled it. 429 of the Oklahoma's sailors died that morning, two won the Medal of Honor, and the Oklahoma's chaplain became the first US military chaplain to die in combat.
