My entire argument is based on the premise that it can be agreed upon that backing out is not an option. If that can't be agreed then the deal dies right then and there and we can all agree that they are difficult to work with NOT us. Now. BYU is not in a position right now to extend a good counteroffer beyond that. Normally we would counter just like Tom did, but this year, given the fact that our schedule is absolute crap and all we could say is that we had no control over that, and given the fact that we are already disadvantages in a crooked system, we cannot extend an offer for them to come to Provo. We need to say we will play the game under one condition: That you cannot back out. If they agree, and the PAC agrees, you play the game. If not, then at least we tried. But by saying COME TO PROVO, that is too much for our situation right now. And I will say it again for then fifth or sixth time: All this is contingent upon them agreeing that cancelling the game on Thursday is not an option. Start there and see if that can be worked out, and if so, agree to go to Seattle instead of saying come to Provo.
