You're right to have concerns about Pau'u, although I will say that I think he is a better WR now than his statistical production would suggest. I would expect Pau'u to have a season that, on a per-game basis, is about at the level we saw from Hifo or Shumway last year.
But—even setting aside the fact that BYU's top WR recruits have rarely panned out—it's often hard for freshmen WRs to adjust to the speed and physicality of the college game. At elite schools a freshman WR can make some noise, but it's rare for one to come to BYU developed enough to be WR1 on Day 1. In addition to Pau'u, I expect Shumway, Romney, and Milne to outperform Jackson/Epps/Cosper/Hill this year.
