Sigrit sings her song. People love it, but they're disqualified. People of Husavik cheer them at the bus stop as they arrive back home and we see the newspaper headline "Iceland loses contest but wins hearts." They go back to the bar to sing and do the people want to hear their Eurovision song that everyone else seemed to love? Nope. They still want more Jaja Ding Dong. It's awesome.
What's not great, however, is that my 6 year-old daughter loves the movie too and watched it with a friend from the neighborhood today. When it got to the end, I heard my daughter helping her friend with the words to Jaja Ding Dong so they could sing it along with the actors in the movie. Now I have to worry about those lyrics going home with her friend. It may raise some eyebrows.
