particularly when so much politics is in play w/ BYU's unique standards & bureaucratic/theocratic workings.
In the game/war of D1 excellence — it's a lot easier to find kids that fit your athletic needs & special institutional needs when its 13 schollies you're working w/ — to fill maybe 7-8 different roles.
NOT so much when it's 85 schollies to fill upwards of 60 different roles. It's not easy being a BYU FB coach AT ALL. Let alone a successful BYU FB coach. If BYU is unwilling to pay for excellence, we fans need to be a lot easier on these coaches, IMO. I'm not saying don't complain — but geez, don't make it so freaking personal. (Not talking anymore to the anyone in particular. Sorry.)
