Most new sprinkler systems will have flex pipe that connects the sprinkler head to pvc. This makes moving sprinkler
heads infinitely simpler. You’d cap the pvc with something like the image below (you’d likely use an elbow version) and run flex pipe from it to the sprinkler head. Super easy.
