Head Coaches are the closers, they aren't the primary relationship or contact. Kalani was a great recruiter at Utah and at OSU, Roderick was really good too. However, I think what we've seen is 1)A lot of kids that he got at either of those schools don't necessarily fit BYU or want it 2) our position coaches and coordinators need to be better at selling what BYU offers. Our staff(not our recruiting staff) is the same size as any other staff in the country. We cast a smaller net so theoretically our coaches should have more time per prospect than others. We shouldn't hear the BYU took me for granted from kids that we truly want to land and have a shot with(ie Chase Roberts).
