I’ve experienced the seasons of Oregon, Florida and Georgia.
Oregon (Mt. Hood area) was a great place to live in the summer. Winter felt more dark and grey than Utah, though. I’d prefer the occasional snow and then blue skies over constant dreary rain. I haven’t experienced the inversion that bad here.
Georgia (Savannah) summer was pretty bad with the humidity and bugs. Winter was pleasant.
Florida (St. Augustine) summer was actually really nice. The ocean breeze probably helped a lot with that. Winter was also pleasant.
My post wasn’t intended to point out Utah as a place where summer sucks and that other places it doesn’t — just that summer is my least preferred season here. I also pointed out the summer benefits of the mountains.
