Texas is interested in the Big1G. They look and see the big bucks and exposure that conference and the SEC get compared to the Big12, and it becomes appealing. The Big1G payout will be huge and comparable to what Texas gets with the LHN in a few years. Plus you’ve got Ohio St frequently making the playoff, and until the last couple years with Oklahoma’s rise the Big12’s been left out.
Will it happen. Probable not. But it’s not out of the Rhelm of possibility.
The PAC teams aren’t that happy with their payout either on that end, and several teams could find the higher Big12 appealing if the Big12 comes calling. It is after all about money, 90% of the time.
