every year since, let’s say the 60s, there have been many players at BYU who don’t follow all the rules. You’re going to have a hard time fielding a team if you exclude all those who don’t live everything they “should”.
As for Neil, he may not be in need of “getting his life straightened out.” He could just be living the life of a kid in his early 20s. His life may be fine. He made a terrible decision to drive after that party. A horrible, stupid decision and I hope he never does it again but I don’t see where his life is in need of straightening out unless he has driven other times after drinking. Only he knows whether or not his life needs to be straightened out.
