Sure it is. Someone made a Purdue reference, which is a good one. People know
Purdue, they have a good engineering program. Most people outside of Indiana probably don’t know what city the main Purdue is in. Without that knowledge, someone putting “Purdue University, Ft. Wayne, IN” will look like the flagship campus (which is actually in West Lafayette, thanks Wikipedia!).

If they put “Purdue University - Ft Wayne, Ft. Wayne, IN” it’s obvious that it’s not the flagship campus, because that’s the convention for schools with multi-campus systems.

None of this matters much, but the idea that there’s no distinction is just wrong. UNC Wilmington is different from what everyone calls UNC (the one in Chapel Hill), but plenty of well-informed people have no idea that the real UNC is in Chapel Hill. It’s the responsibility of the resume writer to clearly communicate the distinction. Failing to do so opens you up to credible accusations of being deceptive, even if deceit was not your intent.
