It's a real pain, when we lived in Ut we moved ours every two weeks
So we didn't kill the grass. Each time had to restrap/stake it. Kentucky bluegrass always growed a little faster under the tramp.
Ultimately we didn't want a permanent hole in the ground so we dealt with it until we moved out of state
